We're so glad you've chosen to check us out, and we hope you feel welcome with us! Here's a few things you might be wondering:
You'll find our services relaxed, largely informal and centered on God's Word. Typically, we'll open with a song or two, welcome folks and briefly communicate a few important "family business" details, spend some more time in musical worship, and then hear teaching from the Bible. We aim to have our services last around an hour and a quarter. Some folks prefer suit and tie, but you'll see most in jeans or khakis - either is fine with us!
Worship music at FCC is a blended contemporary style. We appreciate the heritage of our hymns, and we love our newer rockin' worship tunes, as well. Our philosophy of worship is based on the idea that God looks at our hearts, not the externals that are so easy to get "stuck" on at times (1 Sam. 16:7). In keeping with this, we desire to please and adore God from our hearts each time we gather. In our song choices, we pursue both biblical truth and heartfelt adoration.
We LOVE kids around here, and we believe in the importance of worshiping together as a family. Sunday School and Nursery care is available during the 9am service.
As you enter the building, you'll see the sanctuary where we all gather to your right. Please plan to bring your grade school age kids into the service with you to start - they'll be released to Sunday School after the initial worship time, and you are welcome to come down the hall with them to see where they will be and meet their teachers.
If you have nursery age kids, you can keep them with you, use the "wiggle room" where you can still take in the sermon (ask at the info desk), or drop your little ones off anytime at the nursery down the hall. Near the nursery, there is also a nursing mother's room available with a video feed of the service.
You'll pass the information desk as you enter the building - feel free to ask any questions you might have there and they'll be able to answer (or direct you to someone who can).
